Louis Zaha believes Ruben Amorim’s decision not to keep Ruud van Nistelrooy at Manchester United may be down to the Portuguese’s ego.
“I think he’s shown Amorim that he has the quality to be a full-time manager. So maybe that decision is down to ego. It’s a tough job for Amorim to manage with someone of Ruud’s quality and influence on the team,” Zaha told Betfred.
“Manchester United have improved under Ruud and if Amorim doesn’t start well, there could be comparisons, or maybe it’s Eneos’s fault, I don’t know the details.”
“There has been a lot of criticism of this management team since they cancelled Sir Alex Ferguson’s contract, which is very strange, and I know Ruud very well. สมัคร ufabet He was willing to fight for what was right and he had a great footballing mindset, but he had to leave.”
“He has everything you need to be a good manager. And He has learned from some great coaches before him and I think he is ready to prove himself.”
Van Nistelrooy took over as caretaker manager after Erik ten Hag was sack last month and the former Manchester United forward has enjoyed an impressive run of four games without defeat, including three wins.
The Dutch legend wanted to stay with the Red Devils and become part of Amorim’s coaching staff, but the Portuguese manager ultimately decided to use his own staff.
