Emmanuel Petit believes former Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante would be a great signing for Arsenal in the January transfer window.
“N’Golo Kante still has the qualities to play at the highest level. I have a lot of respect for him as a player, but he may not be playing as often as he used to,” Petit told http://ufabet999.app.
“He is not the same player anymore. He is 33 years old but he still has the quality, character and determination to be a great asset to the club.”
“He’s in Saudi Arabia but he’s still a great option for a team like Arsenal and Mikel Arteta. He’d be a top-class player to rotate at Arsenal and it would be a good move for him as well.”
“In terms of attitude, he gives 100 per cent for his teammates. He has something special. He’s the kind of person every player should be.”
Kante is currently in his second season with Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Arabian league after leaving Chelsea when his contract expired.
The 33-year-old midfielder played a key role in Leicester City’s and Chelsea’s Premier League title wins and was also a key figure in France’s 2018 World Cup triumph.
Kante is believed to remain open to a return to European football and Petit believes he would be a great option for Mikel Arteta.
